Learn and lunch
An enjoyable variant on cookery lessons. You choose the menu, I bring all the
ingredients and, with your friends around, enjoy the morning, learning and getting useful tips to further your cookery
You can then watch your 3 course lunch being prepared - trying things out yourselves too.
Recipes are included for all the dishes prepared and there is plenty of time for questions along the way.
Here's an account from one of my first learn and lunch sessions:
"At 10am Jane arrived with all
the ingredients, recipe folders, even bottles of wine, coffee and her
own home baked cookies. Over the next 3 hours we had a wonderful time
watching, discussing and joining in with making everything from bread
rolls and cheese sablés through twice baked soufflés and fish with all
the trimmings to the profiterole pièce de résistance.
As well as learning how to make
new dishes and improving our skills and techniques, we picked up so
many tips about timing and presentation - so that by 1 o'clock we were
ready to sit down together and enjoy a delicious and plentiful meal.
All for the price of a routine restaurant lunch!
